Britt Johnson was born in California and explored most of the country while her family served in United States Army. Growing up she developed a strong sense of competition and leadership from cheerleading. Johnson’s affection for sports lead her to become the captain of her cheer team, track team and dance team.
The magic truly happened for Britt when she watched the Dallas Cowboys play football. Seeing Emmitt Smith explode from the line of scrimmage, Michael Irvin repeatedly catch the ball with the grace of ease and Deion Sanders who would shut down any wide receiver that came his way. Sparks flew for Johnson and that was when she knew that she needed to make a career out of this love.
Johnson attended California State University, Fresno where she majored in Communication and minored in Special Event Planning. During her college career she interned at KSEE 24 News Station/NBC affiliate where she learned many sides of the industry from production to editing. The fun came for Britt when she was given the chance to report from the sideline at all Fresno State’s sporting events. After being the only intern for 9 months she was commended by the sports director, Anthony Flores, who felt she had the most potential he had seen thus far. This was an experience that provided validation that this is where she belonged.
Britt created a blog spot allowing her to provide a personal opinion on current events in sports news. She explored different career opportunities, joining the Los Angeles Clippers organization by coordinating private events and customer relations to high profile clients. There was still something missing and a voice telling her she needed more. She soon decided it was time to revisit sports broadcasting by taking classes to enhance her natural abilities. Since then Britt has launched her website, weekly viral sports shows on her personal youtube channel, worked as the Weekend Sports Anchor for KLAF and KADN in Louisiana, a Sports Reporter in Torrance, CA, reported on numerous of red carpets and sporting events interviewing everyones' favorite athletes and celebrities, been on Nationally broadcasted radio and TV such as Fox Sports and MSNBC to name a few, won several awards for producing and reporting and spent over 5 years as the main host for The Fumble, which she helped grow an audience of over 1.5 million subscribers. Britt was most recently the team reporter, producer and content creator for the Dallas Cowboys.
Outside of broadcasting Britt an advocate for fitness and healthy lifestyles and has been plant based for over 10 years. Britt currently just finished writing a pilot episode for a show she created and has recently started an adventure writing her first book. She also hopes to one day start a broadcasting camp for girls to help them find their voice by enhancing their public speaking skills and self esteem.
